Christmas Gratitude

As we count down to Christmas, we are working hard to hold it all together. This season is extra busy as we continue to add more and more to our schedules. In the busyness of life, can we have an attitude of gratitude? It’s definitely a choice….and that choice belongs to you!! Let’s take a moment to consider what we are thankful for this Christmas season!

My husband and I moved to Mt. Olive, IL 1.5 years ago, and we love living in a small town. I am thankful for the people here! They are kind, generous, and very supportive of our schools! The school is the heartbeat of the community, and we are very fortunate to have an amazing school community. I am thankful for the people who give of their time and talents to make our school district thrive!

As a superintendent, I attend many school events throughout the year. My husband attends ball games, holiday concerts, and other community events all year long! I am thankful for my husband who loves and supports me every day. I wouldn’t want to do life without him!!

My life is also blessed by my growing family! I am thankful that we have two amazing, healthy children. I am so proud of them!! I love my children, their spouses, and my two beautiful grandsons!! I am thankful that we live closer to them now, and we can see them every week!

Pause and reflect this holiday season. What are you thankful for…? Remember, what you focus on grows! The holiday season can get crazy busy. Don’t forget to slow down and consider what you are thankful for this Christmas!!
